Wow that sounds sweet with apples, fruit juice AND sugar! Doesnt appeal, but the one on the budget site sounds better.

Agree. Sounded horrible when I read the recipe - not something I would cook, as kumara are sweet enough. Each to their own tho.

I have one that you use sausage meat to line the dish then fill with grated kumara. Is that what you are looking for? Will have to dig out the recipe if you want it. Haven't made it for years.

Or else I would google and find a sausage and potato pie and just put the kumara in to replace the potato!
