Just wondering if there are any thai food supply shops in Welly! I'm going there for the weekend and have been doing a great thai cooking course in Hamilton - I want to cook something authentic for my extended family but would rather buy the stuff to make it in Wellington than lug it on a plane! TIA.

Asian Food Specialist in Kilbirnie has Thai ingredients. It's a great supermarket with very helpful staff. Here's their website.You may want to contact them to see if they have what you require.
Fingers crossed the Kilbirinie place has the stuff I need, esp as I'll be in Strathmore! thanks to you both!

The Kilbirnie store is great, I was there just recently, and they were very helpful. They have heaps of things, but I was getting Chinese, so not sure what else they have.There is also this place in Newlands:http://wellingtonspices.co.nz/They have lots of stuff and product lists on their website.

Thanks so much forall the help - went to the place in Kilbirnie and they were brilliant.Got everything i needed.The food was a hit at home as well!
