I got this from her Cooking for Christmas book Christmas Tree Biscuits 150g butter ¼ teasp almond essence 1teasp caramom ½ cup caster sugar 1 egg separated 2 tablsp milk About 2 cups flour
Cream butter, essence, cardamom and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg yolk and milk and beat again. Add enough flour to make a dough which is firm enough to roll out and cut into shapes. Cut into different shapes. To hang on a tree cut a hole with a straw before baking.Bake at 150C for 15 minutes, cool on rack.
