We had some dreadful navy blue ones from Briscoes but the same brand in a different colour were absolutely fine - go figure - the epsom salts ring a bell with me as well though

The best towels we have had were bought from Country Road. They last for years and are excellent quality. They may cost a bit moe than other places, but are often on sale.

I have Warehouse bath sheets. They are great. the epsom salts rings a bell with me too as does several cycles through the clothes dryer.

According to Google (the knower of everything lol) it is vinegar and baking soda
Or throw them in the dryer, couple of timesbut don't forget to clean out the lint thingee.
