This one, didorothy! - It's from the former Trademe Cooks.
"Many Biscuits 500g butter, 1½c sugar, ¼c c/milk, 4c flour, 4t b/powder. Cream butter and sugar and condensed milk. Add sifted dry ingredients and blend in. Divide into 4 or more portions as desired. Variations: (a) Chocolate Chippies: Add 1 teaspoon vanilla essence and chocolate chips. (b) Cherry: Add ½ teaspoon vanilla and or almond essence top with cherry. (c) Almond: Add 1 teaspoon almond essence top with almond. (d) Add 1 teaspoon cinnamon or spice and 1/2 cup chopped walnuts. (e) Ginger: Add 1 teaspoon lemon essence, 1 teaspoon ginger and, chopped crystallized ginger. Roll in balls place on trays and flatten or press with fork. Bake. Cooking Temp: 180°C 15 minutes. posted by dollmakernz":-))

Annabel Langbein has a recipe called butter cookies and it is much the same as 245sams and one l used to make except l added 1/2 tin condensed milk Here is the one l use 500g butter, 1 cup sugar, 1/2 tin condensed milk, 1 tsp vanilla essence 4 1/2 cups flour 4 tsp baking powder and flavour from there or just plain are so nice
There are so many variations of this recipe around and l have been making some with cranberries, white chocolate, pistachio nuts and orange zest and they are very moreish and the other lot l just add sultanas Hope that helps

Thats the one 245 sam! We made the other one equally tasty ans bulk bikkys! Kids had a ballas we added .chopped dark choc. YUM Thanks Team

Just wondering !Could you use the caramel condensed milk instead of the ordinary one.Have 2 tins of the caramel in the cupboard but will not have the plain stuff till the weekend shopping.These sound so yummy andNo Eggs!Now that's handy.

l can't see why you can't it will be caramel flavoured but should be nice please let us know if you use it and how they turn out
