Have been told you can't use aluminium pots on a ceramic hob, is this correct! if so why, what happens! Its not like the heat is going to melt the pot is it. If I use aluminium while the partner is away, will she beable to tell!

scratch marks on your cooktop is the reason, but I use them all the time on mine and I can't see any scratches
