Has anyone used one of these!for bread, specifically.or does anyone know where I can get a decent sized metal one from!

I still prefer the metal ones. seem to brown and crisp better

Try Hospice shops, Sallies etc - have got some great ones from there over the years.

I love silicone for cakes etc, but not for loaves. As the dough rises it also expands outwards so you end up with an odd shaped loaf. A metal tin keeps it's shape.

Had one hated it for loaves and bread threw it out, as biggles said it expands out wide and the baking looks hideous. Get a nice metal one something like this try,briscoeshttp://www.briscoes.co.nz/Kitchen/Bakeware/Non_Stick/1015324/Hampton-And-Mason-Loaf-Pan---Non-Stick.html
