And gone in 4 mouthfuls.
Some of these recipes are beyond my purse strings. I'd love to be able to attempt them. Wish I had Samantha's nose (from Bewitched) and my pantry would always be full.

That pumpkin, blue cheese and meringue pudding didn't appeal.

Very disappointing tonight, thought the girls cooked far better than the professionals, I would far rather have their food dished up, at least it looked like real food

A question for those who read the eight textured chocolate cake.
I can't work out how many it serves. Bearing in mind it has 1.2 kg of chocolate, 11 eggs, nearly half a kilo of sugar and 850 mls of cream.

I get the impression that you make four cakes, but are they a single serve!

That was my impression duckmoon-a single cake but I couldn't quite figure out how many it would serve.
I don't have a sweet tooth at all and that cake was repulsive to me-made my teeth ache just imagining it lol!

The recipe has too much volume for just one cake.
But it I am still not sure how many the cake shown on tv was supposed to serve

In masterclass today in Auz Gary made beef pie. It looked so yum.

I agree and I was surprised that they didn't win after the judges comments. They seemed much more favourable towards the girls food & yet they still lost. I guess that's TV for you, only tell you what they want to.

I thought that mindy's team did win

Mindy's team won the first course with the beetroot and goat cheese salad. They lost the other two sections.

Agreed, whereas the ricotta stuffed poached pears with the shortbread looked much more appetizing.

I'm in Australia now for a couple of days and will see tonight's episode. Relax - I won't spill any beans except to say that the final 10 seem to be getting on together really well.

Maggie Beer's Verjuice and Olive Oil Icecream - Verjuice and extra virgin olive oil ice cream 100ml water 200g caster sugar 4 egg yolks Zest of ½ lemon 200ml verjuice Pinch of sea salt 200ml extra virgin olive oil 1. Place water and sugar into a saucepan over a high heat and bring to the boil, allowing sugar to dissolve. Boil for 30 seconds, remove from heat and pour into a shallow tray. Refrigerate for 3 minutes to cool slightly. Pour into a jug.
2. Place egg yolks, lemon zest, verjuice and salt into a food processor and while processing pour olive oil in a trickle as if making mayonnaise. Pour in sugar syrup in a thin stream. Transfer to a wide shallow dish and place in freezer for 5 minutes or until very cold but not frozen.
3. Pour into a pre-chilled ice cream machine and churn until frozen. Scrape ice cream into a shallow plastic container with a lid and freeze until firm.

I don't think the Immunity Challenge is done very fairly; Mindy has won it, yet wasn't responsible for the main course - or the entree for that matter. I do like her very much, but feel it is unfair to have helpers to help her win. Mindy is now basking in the glory of winning the Immunity Pin based on a dish she was not responsible for.

Agree - it should be Audra's pin.
