Oops, just made sweet shortcrust pastry

and forgot to separate the egg to only use the yolk.Is this going to effect the taste of the rhubarb butterscotch pie that i am planning to make for pudding.Have the chicken roasting in the oven for tea at the moment and the pastry is chilling in the fridge as i write this so am just wondering if it is going to be any good.

It won't affect the taste. the pastry will be a bit tougher and may shrink back a bit. It'll still be perfectly edible as long as you're not serving it to a chef or fusspot.

LOL no fusspot here, he knows better than to complain. He knows there are only two choices for tea, take it or leave it lol
