Gelatine leaves

What would the equivalent of gelatine leaves be in loose gelatine please!Have not seen gelatine leaves in shops.

New World seem to have gelatine leaves.Not all gelatine leaves are equal.Google it.

n The Best of Annabel Langbein, Annabel says 1 sheet usually equals 8 grams.1 tsp powder gelatine = 5grams and will set 250mls of liquid to a soft jelly.

There are different grades of leaf gelatine, in increasing strength they aresilver, gold, platinum and titanium.It's quite tricky to substitute unless you know what grade your recipe refers to.As far as I know the grade most commonly used domestically is Gold and the usual conversion is 3 sheets = .25g [a quarter of a gram] powder.
You will need to find out a bit more about your recipe then do some arithmetic to work it out.
