I remember back in the 1980's my great grandmother used to make a wonderful home-made Tomato Soup and it had Celery Seed in it.I can't remember anything else about it - except that it tasted the best - seriously it would leave everything else for dead.
Does anyone have a recipe that they can share with us please!
Thanking you in anticipation and hope!

This is my mum's old one. think it may originally be an Aunt Daisy or Tui Flower (NZWW) recipe. It is one that you can bottle. Sorry its still in ozs and pounds.
14lbs tomatoes 7 large onions 14 pieces parsley 2 *small* cups sugar (or possibly 1and3/4 cups sugar) as 2 cups is a bit sweet) 2 TBSPS salt 1/2 tsp pepper 1oz celery salt, seeds, or chopped celery. Boil all ingredients together until cooked. Put thru mouli. Melt 1/2 lb butter and mix in 8 TBSPS flour or cornflour. Mix until smooth, and add to soup and boil 10mins, then pour into preserving jars to seal until ready to use.
