This is a slice from my childhood. Perfect addition to the school or work lunchbox! http://aftertasteblog.wordpress.com/2012/02/03/rolled-oat-and-sultana-square/

Looks like flapjack to me with a few extras like coconut and sultanas

250g Rolled Oats
125g Butter
125g Brown Sugar
2-3 Tablespoons Golden Syrup (Depends how gooey you want it)

Melt butter, sugar and syrup together and then mix in the oats.Press into a 20cm x 30cm slice tray and bake at 220 until golden brown (about 15 - 20 min).

Part of my childhood too bridget107. Known in our family as Election Slice---no idea why! I love it and still make it often.

It is really yum and fills you up. Election slice! Interesting. Funny how different things pick up different names in each family! This slice is in my Mum's cookbook under the name 'Crunch.'. Crazy.
