Interesting list,thanks.In in Berlin and Dubai Kerrygold seemed to be the standard butter, and it was not cultured but very nice, similar to Mainland.

It was quite an interesting list. I noted that Anchor butter was on the list also.

Lurpak is cultured butter, that's why it tastes different. It's easy to make your own - you just have to culture the cream first (use cultured buttermilk as a 'starter' just like making yoghurt). Cheaper, too!

It is a sourdough or yeast cake/loaf with lots of dried fruits and nuts and is traditionally covered in melted butter and icing sugar so it keeps for at least a month and doesn't dry out. That is why I know exactly how much milk is in 500g of butter.
