Mussel chowder

how would you do it saw it as I was passing a restaurant and it started nice and thinking of doing it

Some people may have a sophisticated way of doing it but I just boil mussels slightly(otherwise they get tough), make a white sauce base (use the liquid from the mussels as well).If you need more liquid, fish stock from Countdown is good.Cut mussels up,adjust your seasoning and you are done.You can get very sophisticated with it and as with seafood chowder in USA, there are various recipes.some add bacon, onion, potatoes. Suggest you experiment.Search for some recipes on the net if you want specific measurements.
