Making a cake stand airtight

Have got a gorgeous glass cake stand that I would like to use every day, but as the dome edge isnt straight, it isnt airtight. Any ideas on how to make it airtight! Looks great on my bench with biscuits in it (and cakes!)

get a strong plastik bag large enough to slip over the lot and fold underneath. Not perfect,

Could you squeeze a line of clear silicone around the edge of the glass!

It dosn't take much air to soften biscuits. I would store them in a tupperware container. Cake would be ok, so long as flys cannot get in.

Is it glass or perspex, If it is glass I would buy a length of clear plastic tubing , cut in on one side and fit it over the edge. I would be concerned about chips of glass, with everyday use. Not sure how to get it to stay on, blue tack, may work.
