Mine is....boil up a few bacon bones or a hock.....add 1 bag of DRIED green peas (washed), grated carrot -when cooked take out bones or hock, chop up meat and put back in....taste and add salt and pepper if needed. If too thick, dilute with more water and re season.

Soups don't need a lot added to boost flavour....keep them simple.

Stuck home w/ that baaaad sore throat & earache bug going round so not up to my usual thick & hearty stand-your-spoon-in-it bacon bone soup.

Thawing out leftover bone stock for soup. Got corn, spuds, Kings pea & barley soup mix stuff, onions. What do I do to make a light soup as good as yours!

If you have got a good stock and want a light soup, I would grate my vegies, carrots, spuds, onions, swedes (I love swede in soups - lovely flavour) silverbeet finely chopped, whatever you have got.I would leave out the barley and stuff.too heavy, but personal preference.Season once vegies are cooked.Get better soon

PS.my step grandchildren call me Janny, my own call me Granny LOL
