Just wondering if anyone has a recipie for Kiwifruit Chutney please.

FEIJOA CHUTNEY Ingredients 1.5 kg feijoas 1 kg onions 1/2 cup crystallised ginger 2 cups sultanas 2 cups brown sugar 1 teaspoon ground cloves 3 teaspoons curry powder 2 tablespoons salt 1 litre malt vinegar Method Peel and chop the feijoas and onions and slice the ginger finely. Combine all ingredients in a large pan and bring to the boil, stirring. Simmer until thick, then pour into jars. Seal when cold
Could I use this recipie but substitute the feijoas for kiwifruit?

Currently I have all the ingredients to make chutney with the following recipe which I personally haven't yet tried but I understand that winnie231 has made and enjoyed the chutney so here you are jen211.....
KIWIFRUIT CHUTNEY 1 Kg (2•2 lbs) kiwifruit 2 bananas 3 onions zest of 1 lemonandjuice of 3 lemons 1 cup each ofraisins,brown sugarandwhite vinegar 1 tsp ground ginger ¼ tsp cayenne pepper 3 tbsp crystallized ginger 2 tsp salt
Peel and slice the kiwifruit, chop the onions and bananas.Mix all ingredients in a saucepan and boil gently for about 1 hour until soft and thick.Stir frequently, cool, spoon into sterilized jars and seal.

winnie here - yes, I really enjoyed this one :) I was a bit dubious about the ingredients after having a bad experience in the past with something containing banana but would make this again :)

winnie, I must say the banana threw me a bit but I am looking forward to making it when all out kiwifruit ripen, the recipie looks great
