I made a pot of vege/chicken soup yesterday. Tastes good as it is but I'd like some suggestions please on what seasonings I can chuck in to alter the flavour from batch to batch please. Yesterday's soup had celery, carrot, parsnip, red onion, kumara, pumpkin, broccoli, cauliflower, garlic, chicken stock, water S+P & a small chicken.

Not all these at once but - herbs, tinned toms, dry fried bacon, mushrooms, cheese of some kind eg. brie, blue, parmeasan, curry ... dumplings on top, croutons on top ...

save your cooking water from carrots, silverbeet, cabbage, broc and cauli! Freeze them down for soup, stews and mince:)
Add a can of cream corn adds niceflavour and body to any soup:)
