I bought and opened up a smoked chicken 6 days ago, it's been in the fridge the whole time and smells fine, will it still be ok to eat? It's not past its best before date

If it was in the fridge AND smells fine AND is not not past its best before date - then it will be.

Best before is not the same as Use By.

jc_cw, for future reference I saved this info' from a smoked chicken wrapper.....
"After opening the chicken should be refrigerated and can be kept for up to 1 week or the best before date as on the wrapper, whichever is sooner.":-))
