I want to try and make my own cheese but i don't know where to start.Is therea good New Zealand book i can get that will help me out or should i just dive in??What is a good cheese to start with?

OUr Bin Inn actually sell started kits with full instructions and everything you need. You can get kits for soft cheeses or hard ones. CHeck it out!

Yes, there is. it is called "Cutting the curd' by Katherine Mowbray and is available at Mapua Country trading...jus Google them, you will find it.

The Mad Millie kits are really good for absolute beginners - they do have everything in them. Bin Inn also sell the individual bits, I think. I reviewed the soft cheese kit a little while ago - http://www.mrscake.co.nz/2011/02/pizza-from-scratch-including-cheese.html

However you choose to do it I do recommend making your own cheese - very rewarding and much easier than I expected!
