The only time I have the oven going for that long is when I have a roast cooking. Has anyone mastered a rice pudding in the slower cooker Croc Pot?

Yes you can! A slow cooker makes a very delicious, easy peasy rice pud. Recipe: 1/2 cup short grain rice, 4 cups boiling water, 1 cup milk powder, 1/4 cup sugar, a little vanilla, pinch of salt. Mix well and cook on high for at least 3 hours. Longer will do no harm.
