Cheeseburger Pasta Ingredients

▪️ 2-3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil (EVOO)
▪️ 500 g beef mince
▪️ 1 large brown onion, diced
▪️ 3-25 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
▪️ 1½ tbsp flour
▪️ 400 ml crushed tomatoes
▪️ 800-1000 ml beef stock
▪️ 2-3 tbsp mustard
▪️ 2 tbsp tomato sauce
▪️ 1 tsp garlic powder
▪️ 2 tsp onion powder
▪️ 1½ tsp smoked paprika
▪️ ¼ cup chopped pickles
▪️ 300 g dried pasta
▪️ More pickles, unchopped
▪️ 2 cups shredded cheddar, tasty, or mozzarella cheese
▪️ Salt and pepper to taste

How to make Cheeseburger Pasta

Step 1: In a heavy pot on medium-high heat, add half the olive oil and beef mince. Cook until browned.

Step 2: Add the diced onions and cook for about 3-4 minutes until softened. Then add the finely chopped garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes.

Step 3: Remove the beef mixture from the pot and set aside. Add the remaining olive oil to the pot along with the flour. Stir well to make a roux and cook until the flour turns a golden color, similar to brown butter sauce.

Step 4: Add the crushed tomatoes, 800 ml of beef stock, mustard, tomato sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, chopped pickles, and dried pasta to the pot. Cook, stirring for 2 minutes.

Step 5: Return the beef mixture to the pot, mix well, and cover with a lid. Cook for 6-8 minutes, stirring every couple of minutes to prevent sticking.

Step 6: Check the pasta; if it looks too dry, add more stock. If it’s too wet, remove the lid and cook until the pasta is almost done, another 2-4 minutes.

Step 7: Add the rest of the pickles and cheese, stirring well to combine.

Step 8: Serve immediately and enjoy!
