Does anyone have a recipe! I have tried the search on the left.have also googled but cannot find one that does not involve half a ton of sugar. Most of the recipes I have tried are far too sweet, does cutting down on the sugar affect the jam! Thanks! mrs cucine.

The sugar in jam preserves it .All jam is sweet, and fig jam is very sweet because figs are low in acid.Why not make chutney instead.

Or make fig and ginger jam.The ginger seems to cut the sweetness.
