I always add grated veges to my sausage rolls, usually carrot, onion and courgette with a little dried sage. I don't add any sauces as in the link, I don't think that they need it, my preference.

Yeah good recipe but I'd still use sausage meat.

I use sausage mince and grate onion, apple and kumara into mine. I also put fennel seeds toasted then crushed.
