If you like feijoas you must try them dipped in hot toffee!Experimented with them last night - much better than toffee apples!!!Lightly peel and dip into toffee with a toothpick and leave to set....yum!

Depending on how many you want to share this made enough to coat 10 feijoas: 1c white sugar and just enough water to wet sugar, maybe 3-4 tbsp.Simply bring to boil without stirring and when it changes to a light-med caramel colour remove from heat a dip away!!!!!If you peel them with a vege peeler leaving a slight hint of green you get a nice combo of sweet and sour - had one (or two) on top of hokeypokey icecream.

Did you see the other day on TV that you should not brush your teeth straight after eating sugary foods....lindylambchops1....Su- gar softens the enamel, then brushing, damages the enamel on your teeth. I just forget how long after they say you should wait, before brushing. Maybe someone will fill in the gap. Won't hurt mine ,all the same lol. to think I stewed a lot of feijoas today, darn it.
