Hi there, do you have an original and popular fish or seafood dish on this MB?If you do, would you consider sharing the recipe in our upcoming TM Recipe Book to fundraise for assistance to those in Christchurch?

As pickles has kindly reminded us, these must be YOUR recipes to give, and even better, if you could tell us a wee story about the history of the recipe ... the history can add so much meaning to the recipe itself ... and to our TM community too! Please do add confirmation that this recipe is able to be shared in the fundraising book ....

Thanks in advance for your support, Pat (pixiegirl) & Andrea (fastlanenz)

I have a recipe I would like to share, although I have never posted it on the MB before. It is not copied from anywhere and is something I have served guests many times and they in turn have taken home the recipe.

Seafood Alfredo Sauce
To be served with pasta, or over a steak for Surf and Turf

1 1/2 Cups Milk
1 1/2 Cups Cream
1 Cup Grated Cheese
6 egg yolks
1/2 kilo of mixed seafood...prawn/shrimp/fish/mu-
ssels, etc

Heat milk and cream till it begins to simmer. Turn of heat and slowly whip in cheese. Place egg yolks in a seperate bowl and slowly whip in a portion of the hot milk/cream mixture. Slowly add egg yolk mix to remaining cream mixture. Place back on a low heat and continually stir till simmering. Take sauce of heat so that it thickens.
Season with salt and pepper.
Serve over your favorite pasta, or steak.

I'm sure once you have tried this dish, it will become a fav

Hi pixiegirl. I have a recipe I'd like to donate here. I made it up but don't feel like posting here because of that other site that copies recipes. I know the first part of your e-mail addy but cannot remember your server.

I am not a member of the facebook site and I doubt that I'd be allowed to join anyway so cannot post it there.
