Cream puff failure

I have had three a tempts to make Anna bel langbein cream puff desert from her recipe book.

In her recipe the cream puff desert is made by using a choux pastry
Also the oven is fan bake.
My oven isn't a fan bake oven
My husband things thats the reason why its not working
help.

Choux pastry requires that you cook off the flour a bit once you have added it to the water/butter mix.You must cook it for about a minute to ensure the flour cooks slightly and this makes them work.Since I started doing that, I've never had any more failures.

You haven't said what the failure was but there are some good threads on here about choux pastry.One of the reasons choux fails is not because of fan bake ovens. Choux has been around since day nought while fan bake ovens have been around for about 2 minutes.

You need to use a strong flour to make choux so High Grade flour minimum. Organic stone ground is good also.
