Would anyone like to share their favourite recipe for gingerbread men, including ideas for the decorations eg eyes, mouth, buttons?
I do have a cutter but that's all. Used to make them years ago but have forgotten.

This will make you die and go to heaven. Create 3D gingerbread kids, by cutting additional pockets, bowties and hair (using a garlic crusher) from the dough, then bake.
I'm sorry, that sounds really great but I'm on dial-up and when I tried to get to the recipe the computer took so long loading the pages that I had to give up.

You will need: 125g butter 1/2 cup sugar 1 egg-yolk 2 cups of plain flour 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda 3 tsp ground ginger 2 1/2 Tablespoon golden syrup
mix together and roll out with a rolling pin and decorate with lollies, cherries or currants Never failed me yet
use icing to attatch lollies and do the mouth and some of the decorating.

Thanks for that, it sounds like a good recipe, and icing to attach the lollies is a good idea.
