Can anyone recommend a place to go for a large family group? Any cuisine ok, just a nice relaxed surrounding.

The West Coast Bar and Grill (Papanui area). Love it!! Great atmosphere and lovely food and service.

If there are children angie, there's a restaurant bottom end of Colombo Street (Hills end) that welcomes children. Not sure how you'll find out the name.
