Finely shredded coleslaw

I have had very thin coleslaw when dining out and wonder how they get it so fine. Can you help.Thanks

A good sharp knife and cut it finely.....pretty easy with the right tools

probably on a meat slicer, but if you have a good serated knife you can slice it very thinly at home.

I had one of those jan, also excellent for shredding citrus to make marmalade.

The finer slicing blade on a food processor cuts cabbage very finely if you have quite a bit to do.I just remove the large central stalks, roll a few leaves together and feed them down the chute.

I have a mandolin but don't use it for coleslaw,I use a sharp knife.I layer white and dark green cabbage leaves(remove the thick ribs) with plenty of mint leaves inbetween,roll them tightly and cut very finely.Voila!
