I have tried putting the chocolate drops in a saucepan with a bit of butter and it just turned to a big glob of chocolate, and then have tried the bowl over boiling water, but it wont go to runny consistancy... What am i doing wrong? Any ideas, help, suggestions TIA :)

Try the bowl over the water trick making sure the water isn't making contact, and add some hot cream alittle at a time, stiring it with a whisk

does not work- butter has water in it -that blobs the chocolat.
next time if you want to "stretch" chocolat- use kremelta.

might be best to try in microwave as any water or stem that comes in contact with chocolate will cause it to go hard.

if you are adding any extra liquid to your chocolate only add 10% of the weight of the chocolate.
