does anyone have a recipe for making the sponge, as it is not an ordinary chocolate sponge, it is really dark (obviously).And where can I get kirsch or kirsch essence from?Like I used to get it from a health food shop here in Taupo, but it has closed down. Many thanks

Otherwise a really good liquor shop should have it.

Here is a link to Gordon Ramsays recipe which looks nice and dark. You should be able to get kirsch at your local liquor store.

Kirsh can be purchased from a liquor store as well.
