sylviat, do you have washing soda, baking soda, salt and citric acid?
The following recipe which I have NOT personally tried and tested is from Lyn Webster of http://pigtitsandparsleysauce.co.nz/
DISHWASHER POWDER 1 cup each ofwashing sodaandbaking soda ¼ cup each ofsaltandcitric acid
Mix all together and powderise in a food processor. Use 1 tbsp per load. Hint:use white vinegar in the rinse aid dispenser.

i read somewhere that white vinegar was ok to get the sparkling dishes, if you didn't have any rinse aid
