just make this once it will last all year. 600 grams of eggs, 1200 grams of grated carrots, 3 cups of vege oil, 6 cups brown sugar, 3 cups whole meal flour, 3 cups white flour, 6 tsp baking soda, 6 tsp cinnamon, 6 tsp nutmeg, 1 good handfull of ch. walnuts. have a lot of tins ready lined with baking paper.

doree, I couldn't have said it better. I made your cake for my mere male for his b/day and he loves it. It was the best carrot cake ever and I am so glad I stumbled across this recipe. I even found the cake was better on the second day!

This is the only carrot cake I make now... it is devine and many thanks to the original poster ! ! !

Motueka's RED BERET has a nice one. (I think). You could call them. If they do not tell you the recipe just buy one and examine the ingredients, proportions and seeming heat (Baking conditions). A bit like some people who have (basically but not exactly) worked out KFC's 11 Herbs and Spices. Good luck
