Lots of spices in the curry but no actual curry powder is used. Should i put some in or just leave as is?

Use some corriander powder and seeds, cumin powder and seeds, garam masala, chilli and tumeric, fenugreek seeds. In some of my curries, I use a tin of flavoured tomatoes (indian) -Dont forget the salt and some pepper.

pig-gal, I recommend that you do NOT add any "actual curry powder" to your curry. Curry powder IS a blend of spices and if you add curry powder to it you will no doubt upset the balance of the spices and not achieve the flavour that is intended for the curry. :-))

O. k thanks, it does have cumin, chilli, tumeric, chinese 5 spice, and coriander as well as cloves and cinnamon stick so it should be well covered i think.
