HELP! Chocolate Ripple Alternative

lilmizztrbl, May 27, 11:54pm
Need to make a Base for a baked Cheesecake. Recipe calls for Arnotts Chocolate Ripple Biscuits, however Arnotts has deemed NZ not good enough for Chocolate Ripple biscuits and we are lacking completely in any PLAIN chocolate Biscuits.

Oreos are too soft for a biscuit base, am considering Cameo Cremes with the centre scraped out, but would prefer something darker.

Please save me from going completely insane! TIA

Chocolate wheatens, chocolate fingers, chocolate krispies... ... ... etc, etc. Or just go with plain bikkies.

This is what I am making, it is more of a Superwine type biscuit than a choc dipped one...

lilmizztrbl, do you happen to have any of the chocolate half-coated Girl Guide biscuits?
I recall those Chocolate Ripple biscuits and consistency-wise IMO the GG biscuits would be a very good substitute, if you have them. :-))

choc thins or similar would be perfectly fine for that.

I use chocolate thins or choc wheatens for my cheesecake.
