Hi. Does anyone know if it is possible to buy crumbed onion rings.They were avalible several years ago but are they still. Loved them.

Countdown has Birdseye frozen crumbed onion rings on their online shopping website. No idea if the would be in all branches though. 500g bag for $6

I use one step more for making mine.
Peel, slice, soak in milk for about 1/2 hour, then egg, crumb, fry, eat
The soaking in milk reduces the harsness of some onions, and the lactic acid also helps break down the membranes in the rings.
For the same reason, soaking calamari rings in milk and pineapple juice before cooking will prevent thet from becoming tough and chewy.
