I will be out of action for a few weeks following an operation.I Want to stock the freezer with meals. Does fish pie or macaroni cheese freeze/reheat ok?

I would think the white sauce would separate, not too sure about that tho

yes that is what I was thinking

Can be done but needs to be stirred on re heating

Could you make up a small amount of sauce now - freeze and see if it is ok?

Both fish pie and macaroni cheese are commonly sold as frozen snack meals so the answer must be yes.

It will be fine, done it with lasagne, fish pie, macaroni heaps of times.

Those two dishes should be fine but most sauces/gravies are better reheated on their own.

Try using cornflour instead of ordinary baking flour.

I freeze my mac n cheese. Always reheat and stir in a little dab milk on reheating and stir it in stop microwave 2x and do this. Works really well.
