Asparagus Rolls question

yes and some people also like to spread with a good mayonnaise or aioli as well, just depends on your taste.

I do, plus put a small dab on the corner that will end the roll of bread, that way it sticks properly.

I butter the bread and then lightly sprinkle pepper and salt on ot the bread before the asparagus

If using mayo or cream cheese etc, you can do away with the butter. Just a health issue really... one or the other rather than double up on fats. Personally I would rather have both LOL

You can also use that spreadable cheese thats in the jar...

Also use the cheese spread but replace the asparagus with ham. . yum.

Another question here - every time I made them in summer, even if it was only an hour before eating, the outside of the roll went hard (like it was stale). Is this because of the heat? How do I stop it happening? Thanks :).

a damp handee towel covering them will stop them drying out
