My understanding is that corn syrup (US name) is known as liquid glucose here in NZ. You can find it in any supermarket in usually the baking aisle.

For each cup of light corn syrup in a recipe, substitute 1 cup of sugar and 1/4 cup water. For each cup of dark corn syrup, substitute 1 cup of packed brown sugar and 1/4 cup water.

It can easily be found at NW and its great in homemade ice cream, the carb count is shocking but who cares at Christmas.

Surprising how much US stuff is finding it's way onto the NZ market. Countdown also stock some items including canned Libby's Pumpkin for pumpkin pie.
The Mad Butcher cnr Aldwins & Ferry Rds in Christchurch also imports directly from the US; some items available at their Papanui branch.
Also to be found in any good Brewers Supplies Shop.
