Mud cake help

This is from a Chocolate Mud Cake recipe and I'm not quite sure what this last point means.

"Pour into lined tin, cover first with baking paper then with newsprint and bake at 150 deg C for 1 ½ hours, until a skewer comes out clean. Cool in the tin, covered to keep the top soft."

Is it saying the cake needs to be covered while baking in the oven! Earlier in the recipe it already explained getting the tin ready i.e. grease and line with baking paper, so I don't know why it would be saying it again, but maybe I'm wrong! I have never made a mud cake before!

I think it means after putting the cake mixture in the tin, cover the cake tin with baking paper and newspaper on the top of that before putting the cake in the oven to bake.I do this when making Rich Fruit cakes, it stops the cake browning too much during baking. Never done this with a mud cake though, new to me. Hope this helps
