Hi all, just wondering, my slow cooker lid does not sit flush with the bowl and has gaps on two sides, like this since bought not long ago, and assumed this must be meant to be like this as cooking over period of hours etc, are they meant to be this way or sealed!

They are not necessarily meant to have gaps, however the crocks will deform slightly when fired and that is where the gap between the crock and the glass lid comes from. If you go through 10 or so at the shop you can pick out the ones with the least gaps :) Most of them will rock back and forth a bit.
