since December 2011, says on the packing that will be good for 6 months.What I'd like to know is:will it be safe to cook and serve my family this 25th December 2012 or will be I serving up samonella suprise!!!!!

will be safe to cook but it will have lost its quality eg may be tasteless or tough

ohhhh~! and there I was thinking I was being clever and frugal at a sale last year.Thanks for the heads up melford, hubby will buy us a new/fresh one this week.So any idea's how I might kind of salvage the old bird at all!.

Slowcooker-not roasted, should be ok,depending how fussy you are. You won,t poison yourself.

would a low heated oven with the bird in an oven bag with lots of fresh oranges around it work do you think because there is no way it will fit in my crock pot .
