Shorty, what is your budget or what are you prepared to spend!
Then possibly more realistc thoughts will come forth.
The most simplest one is bake a ring cake, buy a barbie doll with the full gown in the hole in middle of cake (perhaps raise it a little ) and stick it all together with the right icings and decorations etc.

I have said to my kids, they can either have a decorated cake Or they can have a great cake that I have baked (and a plain icing) but they don't get both.
If they want a jungle scene or a castle or whatever, then I am decorating an Ernst adams sponge

Look up Dolly Varden They are cakes with a doll in the middle and the doll is wearing a princess dress

beautiful cake lala 2, my daughter had a barbie cake for her 21st and my grand daughter has just had a barbie cake for her 5th birthday, one cost $150 and othe r$50, but your cake looks just as good
