I have one of these, minus a manual on how to use it. I was told that you just pour the oil in on top of the elements!Surely not! That sounds like it would cause a fire or electric shock! Do they not have a container that the oil would go into! Thanks kindly Jaez

Not sure what model you have, Here is a link to a instruction manual for one, have a read of it. I have one like this and just tip the oil in on top of he element till it reaches the max mark about 1/2 way up the container on the side there is a line as a guide for the amount of oil to use. http://www.breville.com.au/media/mediaappearance/1630/BDF450.pdf

Thats right for the Breville deep fryer - the oil is just poured in to the max mark on the inner tub of the fryer on top of the elements.
Since the public registrations are closed, you must have an invite from a current member to be able to register and post in this thread.
