I have a basic blender but it doesn't crush up ice. Any suggestions as to which brand I could purchase that does! If you could also add pricing details I'd really appreciate it :)

we use an ice slushy maker which crushes up ice perfectly!Was around $30 from memory - kids add soda stream flavours to the ice in summer as a refreshing summer treat or we take the ice and add it to the blender for smoothies etc

We have a sunbeam blender - we bought it specifically as it could crush ice (for cocktails). http://www.sunbeam.co.nz/products/kitchen/pb7950/#s=ids%7C10420%2C15904 I think we got it through our fly buys but is normally about $200 retail.It is great and used almost daily with frozen fruit or ice.The key to buying a blender for crushing ice is that the blender jug needs to be glass not plastic, which is why they are more expensive. worth the extra cost though.
