I like white sauce but I use the edmonds cook book one, it's average but certain someone here will have a better recipe (which i will copy for my own use too).

Mustard sauce I make- 1 egg add !/4 cup sugar beat together, add 1-2 tsp mustard powder, then 1 large Tbspn flour, mix again, 1/4 cup malt vinegar and 1cup corn beef juice its cooked in, heat over a low heat till it thickens- don't boil

Mustard sauce! 1 egg ¼ cup sugar 1tbsp cornflour 1tsp butter 1tsbp mustard 1 cup water ¼ cup vinegar Method Cook flour in butter, add mustard powder, water and vinegar. Simmer. Beat egg and sugar together, add to sauce and whisk to thicken over heat. Don't allow it to boil after you add the egg.

cheese or white sauce make with leeks. Including the cooking water from the leeks to make a awesome white/cheese sauce! DEVINNE

preferably with LOTS of chopped onion. I always saute the onion first, before I add it to the white sauce.

Love all of the above, and I often use leeks in my sauce as well.
