I am wondering about food from India! We have been warned about China but have seen products from India. How safe are they!

from what I have heard. Not very safe at all.No food handling regulations.

What sort of food! I buy Indian food ALL the time (spices, paneer, samosas etc) and have never been sick from it. Same with Chinese food - I love our local chinese supermarket although I do not buy Chinese garlic.

antoniab, are the products that you buy produced/made in India, or made here in N.Z. by people of Indian origin!IMO poster #1 is asking about products that are sold here in NZ but grown, made/produced in the country, India.:-))

We have a local clearance store that has interesting biscuits, snacks pasta etc made in India would love to try but wonder about the safety!
