Hiya i am trying out a new recipe for chicken korma (jamie Oliver one) it says to liquidise onion and chilli does anyone know how to do that! i have a feeling it is just pureeing but do i cook onion first etc! tia

Peel onion, roughly chop chili, place in a blender or food processor, put the lid on, switch on.

I don't agree with this - instead cook the onions long and slow as in "onion jam" then then grind and add the chillies - this is NOT Jamie's recipe it is a contributor on one of his sites.
I agree with the above, then cook out before adding other ingredients

Use a stick blender after you have cooked the onions, garlic, ginger etc. Just let it cool down a bit. Once it is pureed you can freeze in bags or blocks for later use.
