I had 2 supermarket shopping bags of grapes and decided to make one of them into jam / jelly. The problem i had is that i was unable to thicken it properly!I even tried with jam making sugar as i know it normally thickens faster than regular white sugar.Any suggestions on what else to do!At this stage i have ended up with a very nice grape syrup that is fantastic as a hot drink by simply adding hot water - but i would have preferred to have something i could spread on toast.

Try adding some citric or tartaric acid. I am having the same problems with the quince paste I made last night!
